CROSSBORDER MURAL PROJECT (Mexico-Chicago)/ 1998
The film documents the creation of two labor murals, linked by the collaborative efforts of unions from both sides of the border. In 1997 Mike Alewitz painted a mural in the headquarters of the Frente Autentico del Trabajo (FAT) in Mexico City. Later in the year, Mexican muralist Daniel Manrique Arias and assistants painted a mural on an wall of the United Electrical Workers (UE) in Chicago.
